A CEILING ON THE VERGE OF COLLAPSE
Last month Tenufa Bakehila received an emergency call from a southern city-council representative. He described the desperate situation of an elderly woman living in an old house with her single-mother daughter and her son. The ceilings suddenly began to collapse. Clearly, this was a very dangerous situation that could not bear being put on our (long) waiting list. Tenufa Bakehila’s crew immediately drove to the woman’s house, dismantled the ceilings, and replaced them with new plaster ceilings. The elderly woman, unable to afford the renovation expenses herself, almost lost her home overnight. Now, after Tenufa Bakehila’s intervention, she can finally go to sleep at night with complete peace of mind, knowing she is now physically safe.
